Content Marketing Strategy

You don’t entirely know who you’re talking to or what you’re best to say. Don’t worry, it’s more common than you think.

To have an effective content marketing strategy, you must know:

WHO you want to talk to

WHAT topics you should cover

HOW you’re going to create your assets

WHERE you’re going to distribute them

I can help with your content marketing conundrum, a little or a lot. While my support shapes around your current headaches, I’ve found it typically falls into three camps.

Her professionalism and wealth of experience shine through in her exceptional work, and we’re so grateful to have her!

Camp no1: audience insight

You know the business types (and job roles) you want to engage with, right? And some broad-brush information about why they may buy your thing. But that’s it.

It’s not enough to create content that delivers meaningful results. You need a far deeper understanding of your customers and prospects if you’re going to create engaging content that moves the dial.

What are they struggling with?

What impact is it having on their business?

How do they personally feel about it?

Why are they hesitating?

What do they not understand?

What would be their ‘perfect world’?

What does their buying process look like?

Where do they look for information?

My B2B audience insight projects draw from whatever I can get my hands on. That usually includes in-depth chats with your key people, a handful of customer calls, documented customer feedback, and recordings of sales calls. Plus, any industry intelligence I can dig out.

From here, I deliver a report to educate your team. They can then use this insight to focus on delivering targeted and valuable content (whether I go on to create it or not).

My fee to complete an audience insight project starts at £1,800.00+VAT (depending on your scope).

Camp no2: content planning

Are you churning out random pieces of content, just to “get something out there”? Or looking at a blank spreadsheet with no idea what’s going out next month? You need a plan.

My approach to content planning is practical and grounded. I use your audience insight, information about your business, competitor reviews, and industry knowledge to establish the most valuable topics to focus on, the best assets to create, and where to distribute them.

Once I’m done your spreadsheet will be brimming with inspiration.

Having a plan keeps you in the right lane. And you can work ahead of “next month”, easing the strain on all involved. You also stop wasting resources creating ‘meh’ content just to tick the box.

My fee to complete a content planning project starts at £1,200.00+VAT (depending on your scope).

Camp no3: by the hour strategy advice

Looking for a steer from someone who’s been doing this for a long ‘ole time? That’s where my strategy calls help.

Tell me your challenge then let’s chew it over for an hour. you'll have a much clearer picture of next steps. You’ll also receive the call recording to get the most value from it. And if a series of calls would help, I’m here for you.

My fee for a one-hour strategy call (including brief preparation and follow-up) is £225.00+VAT.
